Text that reads 'AMER MUSA' in bold black letters on a white background.

When Amer Musa left Sudan, in North Africa, as a refugee, he had never contemplated becoming an artist. In fact, he’d never even drawn before. It’s when he arrives in Paris that Amer begins to sketch. He needed an outlet for his anxiety and started to see drawing as a form of therapy. He has never stopped since. Amer’s drawings and paintings express deep emotions through structure, repetition, colours and joy.

“Drawing is a therapeutic way to make me feel better and it gives me positive energy.”

- Amer Musa
